General Questions
What is OutRiskAI?
OutRiskAI is an AI-powered contract risk assessment platform designed to help MSMEs, legal departments, procurement teams, and consultants review contracts, surface liabilities, and receive actionable alternative clauses.
What file formats are supported?
OutRiskAI accepts text-based PDF documents (.pdf) and plain text files (.txt) up to 20 MB per document. PDFs must contain searchable text (not flattened scanned images).
How long does contract analysis take?
- Small documents (1–5 pages): 15–30 seconds.
- Medium contracts (6–20 pages): 30–60 seconds.
- Large contracts (21+ pages): 1–3 minutes.
AI & Accuracy
Which AI model powers OutRiskAI?
OutRiskAI uses Gemini 2.5-flash optimized for legal text extraction, clause summaries, and risk severity scoring.
Does OutRiskAI train AI models on my contract data?
No. OutRiskAI does not use your uploaded contracts or private documents to train public AI models. Your contract text remains completely isolated to your account.
Can OutRiskAI replace my lawyer?
OutRiskAI complements legal review by surfacing hidden risks, calculating liability exposure, and drafting initial counter-proposals. For high-stakes, critical contracts, we recommend consulting a verified lawyer (available via our integrated lawyer network).
API & Integration
How do I get an API key?
Sign in to OutRiskAI, click your avatar in the top right, select Profile, and generate a new key under API Credentials.
What are the API rate limits?
Public API keys are limited to 100 requests per 15-minute window. Rate limit headers (X-RateLimit-Remaining, X-RateLimit-Reset) are included in every response.
How does idempotency work?
All POST /documents requests require an Idempotency-Key header. Retrying a request with the same key replays the original 202 Accepted response safely without re-processing the document.
